Who this page is for: managers and anyone who wants to follow the project’s progress without
the technical details. It covers about three weeks of work, from 26/09/2026 to 15/10/2026, on
the web app and the mobile apps (Android and iPhone). Dates are day/month/year. The full
technical details of every update are on the Changelog page.
At a glance
115 updates delivered
80 of them in these three weeks (Updates 36 to 115). Updates 1 to 35 were finished by 26/09,
when the period starts.
One platform, three apps
The work covers the web app, the Android app and the iPhone app. The iPhone app now works for
the first time.
Lighter and better maintained
21 unused or rarely used add-ons were removed and none were added. About 7 MB of unused images,
fonts and files were taken out of the app.
More automatic checks
The automatic test suite grew from 433 to 817 checks, so mistakes are caught before users see
them.
Highlights of the three weeks
- ⭐ A new learning experience. The course player was redesigned on the web, and the phone version now works the same way.
- ⭐ A new student home. Students get a new dashboard, new course and exam cards, a new leaderboard and a “Continue learning” card that takes them back to their next lesson.
- ⭐ Certificates rebuilt. Each certificate shows the course’s real badge and an ID that anyone can verify. Links shared on social media show a picture of the certificate, and each course gives one certificate only.
- ⭐ Better phone apps. The iPhone app runs, every student screen on phones was redesigned, YouTube videos play in lessons, lists refresh when pulled down, and large-text settings no longer break the screens.
- ⭐ New tools for staff. Staff can message a whole classroom or everyone who bought a training. They also get one filter for active and archived records, a list of buyers’ e-mails, a safer way to delete chapters and a new content editor.
- ⭐ A new Help Center for every role, on the web and on phones.
- ⭐ Screens that fit. The student pages work on every laptop from 11” to 16”, and on small phones.
- ⭐ A healthier app. Every add-on was brought up to date, unused code was removed and the app downloads less.
- 🧪 In testing: an AI training assistant and a group chat for each classroom (details below).
Delivered, week by week
Week 3 · Updates 95 – 115 · Help Center, new content editor, safer deletions, cart and classroom redesigns
For students
- 11/10 · 🌐📱 Helpful “nothing here yet” pages ⭐. A new student used to see one grey sentence on an empty My Trainings, My Exams, Exam Attempts, Classrooms or cart page. Each of these pages now explains what to do next, with buttons to the catalog or to redeem a voucher.
- 12/10 · 🌐 “Redeem voucher” button in the top bar. It shows for students who have no trainings or exams yet, so a voucher received from a company is easy to use.
- 12/10 · 🌐 New “Learning activity” chart ⭐. It used to open on the start of the year. It now opens on today, this week or this month, fits the screen and shows a friendly message to new students.
- 12/10 to 13/10 · 🌐📱 Clearer course contents. Chapters and lessons are numbered (01, 02…), and the “expand all / collapse all” buttons have labels on the web too.
- 13/10 · 🌐 New student Help Center ⭐. It has a search box, six topic cards and shortcuts that do the job directly: redeem a voucher, open the certificates, retake an exam. A support block gives the opening hours, the phone number and the e-mail address. The main menu stays visible on this page.
- 13/10 · 🌐📱 One Help Center for every role ⭐. Admins, instructors, content managers and phone users get the same new design, with topics for their role. The support phone, e-mail and video links now open on recent Android phones.
- 14/10 · 🌐 Tidier catalog pages. The training, exam and instructor catalogs share one compact page title, and the instructor cards were polished.
- 14/10 · 🌐 Shopping cart redesigned for the web. The cart adapts to the screen size, and the order summary sits next to the items on wide screens or below them on narrow ones.
- 15/10 · 🌐 The classroom page fits every laptop ⭐. The page used to need a very wide screen, so on 11” to 14” laptops users had to scroll sideways and the members list was off screen. It now adapts to the screen, and a button in the header shows or hides the members panel.
For instructors and staff
- 13/10 · 🌐 One-click role filter on the Users page. A row of buttons (All, Students, Instructors, Content Managers, Admins) replaces the drop-down list. On smaller screens it shrinks to icons.
- 13/10 · 🌐 Lighter page titles on the admin, instructor and content manager pages.
- 14/10 · 🌐 Safer chapter deletion ⭐. Before a chapter is deleted, staff see how many lessons and quizzes go with it, and they must type “delete” to confirm. One way of deleting a chapter used to have no confirmation at all.
- 14/10 · 🌐 New lesson and classroom editor ⭐. The old text editor was no longer maintained. It was replaced by a modern one that keeps tables, videos, PDF files and calendars. Existing lessons only change when someone edits them.
Fixes
- 11/10 · 🌐 App icon fixed. The icon used when the web app is installed on a computer or phone was missing on the live sites. It is back.
- 13/10 · 🌐 Staff dashboard crash fixed. Opening the Help Center from the admin dashboard could break the page. The staff Help Center pages also got a back arrow.
⚙️ Behind the scenes
- 12/10 to 13/10 · Six add-ons replaced by the app’s own code. A loading spinner, a loading shimmer, a dashed line, the light/dark switch and two animations each depended on an outside add-on. They now use built-in tools and look the same.
- 13/10 · Old in-app technical changelog removed. It was only for admins. This page and the Changelog page replace it.
Week 2 · Updates 53 – 94 · New dashboard, certificates rebuilt, classroom and staff messaging, phone polish
For students
- 03/10 · 🌐📱 New course cards ⭐. The catalog and My Trainings cards show the cover, the duration, the views, the price with any discount, and a cart button that turns green once the course is added. A progress circle turns gold with a trophy when the course is finished. Cards in a row have the same height, and phones show two cards per row.
- 03/10 · 🌐📱 Each “My Content” tab has its own web address. Trainings, Exams, Certificates, Attempts and Classrooms can be bookmarked, refreshed and reached with the browser’s Back button.
- 03/10 · 🌐📱 New leaderboard ⭐. It has a top-3 podium, a “your rank” block with points, and the full list with the student’s own row highlighted. New students see a friendly “Not ranked yet” message, and the leaderboard now shows on every screen size.
- 03/10 · 🌐 “Continue learning” card ⭐. It replaces the old slider and shows up to four courses, each with a progress bar, the next lesson and a Resume / Start / Review button. A hover color was added on 05/10. On 08/10 the percentage was fixed (it showed as broken text) and the rows were spaced out.
- 03/10 · 🌐 Phone-sized browsers point to the apps. A visitor who opens the website on a phone browser sees a full-screen page with the App Store and Google Play buttons.
- 04/10 · 🌐 New student dashboard ⭐. Four progress cards show the courses in progress, the courses completed, the certificates and the exams passed. New students get a three-step “Get started” guide.
- 04/10 · 📱 The phone dashboard matches the web ⭐. It has the same progress cards and “Get started” guide, text no longer spills off small screens, and the voucher window is smaller.
- 04/10 · 🌐 Student pages fit 11” to 14” laptops ⭐. Sideways scrolling and cut-off cards are gone, a large browser font no longer breaks the layout, and wide screens show more courses per row.
- 04/10 · 📱 Pull down to refresh on five phone lists: classrooms, certificates, and the training, exam and instructor catalogs. Searches and filters are kept.
- 04/10 · 📱 Large-text and zoom settings no longer break the app ⭐. Menus and cards stay readable when a phone’s font size and display zoom are at their maximum.
- 05/10 · 🌐📱 One exam card design everywhere ⭐. The catalog and My Exams look the same. An exam the student owns shows a green “Go to My Exams” button instead of a greyed-out “Purchased”, and durations read “3h 50min”.
- 08/10 · 🌐 Instructors moved into the Marketplace. The web now matches the phones: Training Catalog, Exam Catalog, Instructors.
- 08/10 · 🌐 Language choice moved to the profile menu. The top bar is less crowded. The menu shows the current language’s flag and opens the language settings.
Certificates
- 03/10 · 🌐📱 A clearer way to get a certificate ⭐. There is one gold “Get certificate” button. Once the certificate exists, a note links to the Certificates page. “View certificate” in My Trainings always works: if the student finished the course but never asked for the certificate, it is issued on the spot. Each course gives one certificate only.
- 07/10 · 🌐📱 Certificates page redesigned ⭐. Each certificate shows its course’s real badge, an ID anyone can copy to verify it, and Preview and Share buttons. The newest certificate comes first. An “In progress” section points to courses the student is close to finishing, and courses that admins retired no longer appear there.
- 07/10 · 🌐📱 Certificate links use the platform’s own web address instead of a technical server address, which looks more trustworthy when shared.
- 07/10 · 🌐 Certificate previews on social media ⭐. A certificate link shared on LinkedIn, Facebook, X or WhatsApp now shows a picture of the certificate. That is free publicity for the platform.
Classrooms
- 03/10 · 📱 Classroom videos play on phones. YouTube videos in classrooms play inside the app, PDF files show at a proper size, and going full screen no longer restarts the video.
- 04/10 · 🌐📱 “Notify classroom” and a new members panel ⭐. Admins and instructors can send a message to a whole classroom at once. A searchable members list works on web and phones, and students see member counts and photos on their classroom cards.
- 04/10 · 🌐📱 Better privacy in classrooms. Classmates see only each other’s names and photos, and classroom pages load faster because they receive less data.
For instructors and staff
- 04/10 · 🌐📱 Better voucher filtering. Filters can be combined, “Expiring soon” no longer lists vouchers that have already expired, and archived vouchers cannot be edited or e-mailed by mistake.
- 04/10 · 🌐 Easier page controls in admin tables: arrows to change page and a clearer “rows per page” choice.
- 07/10 · 🌐📱 One “Active / Archived / All” filter ⭐ on the Trainings, Exams, Classrooms, Users, Categories, Tags and Orders lists, for admins, instructors and content managers.
- 07/10 · 🌐📱 Message everyone who bought a training ⭐. Admins and instructors can send an in-app notification to all the learners of a training, for example “This training has new lessons”.
- 09/10 · 🌐 Sales Details page uses arrows to change page, like the admin tables.
- 09/10 · 🌐📱 Reminders page follows the app’s light and dark colors and has a ready-made welcome message with login instructions.
Fixes and phone apps
- 04/10 · 📱 Cart fixed after a purchase. Opening the cart after buying showed a blank page with no menu.
- 07/10 · 📱 Small-phone fixes. Headings no longer spill off the screen, and the welcome slides fit small phones.
- 07/10 · 📱 The iPhone app builds with Apple’s latest tools (iPhones on iOS 15 and newer).
- 08/10 · 📱 Crash fixed when signing out from the phone’s Change Password screen.
⚙️ Behind the scenes
- 08/10 · Every add-on brought up to date ⭐, and unused code removed (see Clean-up and maintenance). Exam reviews switch between answers and explanations instantly and fit 11” to 15” laptops.
Week 1 · Updates 36 – 52 · New course player, phone player, store improvements, first clean-ups
For students
- 30/09 · 🌐 Redesigned course player ⭐. The page where students follow a course was rebuilt around the lesson. It has a slim top bar, the course outline on one side and the assistant on the other. Lessons no longer reload with a spinner when the window changes size, and the page also fits 11” tablets.
- 30/09 · 🌐 Fair mock exams. Students are asked to turn off translation and writing-help browser extensions during mock exams, with an explanation in English and French.
- 01/10 · 🌐 Easier-to-read lessons on laptops and iPads, and a tidier course player header: titles fit on one line and buttons are bigger.
- 01/10 · 🌐📱 Clearer quiz history. Each attempt is a card with the score, passed / failed / unfinished, the date, the right and wrong answers and a Review button, 10 per page.
- 01/10 · 🌐📱 Faster store pages. The training and exam catalogs load a lighter version of each item made for shoppers. A removed item says “not available right now” instead of loading forever.
- 01/10 · 🌐📱 Owners can reopen a course’s sales page. They see an “Owned” label with “Start learning” and “Go to My Trainings”, and the cart is never offered.
- 02/10 · 🌐📱 The store shows views, not sales. Course cards, exam cards and the cart show “N views” instead of sales numbers.
- 02/10 · 📱 The phone course player matches the web ⭐. It opens on the current lesson. The outline and the assistant slide in from the sides, and a bottom bar has Previous, Mark complete and Next. The header has labeled “Course Content” and “AI Assistant” buttons, and the outline has “Expand all” and “Collapse all”.
- 02/10 · 📱 YouTube videos play in phone lessons ⭐. After a change on YouTube’s side, videos in the app showed an error. They play again.
For instructors and staff
- 30/09 · 🌐📱 AI assistant on or off per training (first version). Admins can turn the assistant off for a training. Students then see a clear “not available” message with links to the instructor and the Help Center.
- 01/10 · 🌐 “Owners’ emails” ⭐. For any training or exam, admins can list everyone who bought it and copy all their e-mails in one click, which is handy for announcements.
⚙️ Behind the scenes
- 27/09 to 28/09 · First clean-up. A step-by-step clean-up plan was written, 39 unused images (about 3.5 MB) were removed, and versions of the app that were never used were dropped.
- 01/10 · Code health review. An automatic review found no errors and 116 small items, grouped into a fix plan.
- 02/10 · The Android app builds again after a change in the developers’ tools. Users were not affected.
Updates 1 – 35 · Delivered by the start of the period
These updates were finished on or before 26/09/2026, the day the project moved to its current code
repository, so their exact dates are not recorded.
- 🌐 Extra exam attempts ⭐. Admins can reset a student’s attempts without erasing past scores. Students see “Attempts used: X of Y”.
- 🌐 Staff can check an exam’s questions and answers ⭐. Admins, instructors and content managers can browse every question with the correct answers highlighted. Students never get this view.
- 🌐 Instructor dashboard shows real earnings ⭐: real order numbers, a total-earnings card with the revenue share, and sales split into Trainings and Exams.
- 🌐📱 Clearer student menu ⭐. “My Content” (what the student owns) is separate from “Marketplace” (what they can buy).
- 🌐 Course sales page polished. Only the first lesson can be previewed for free, and the instructor’s profile can be opened from the page.
- 🌐📱 Friendlier profile pictures. Users without a photo get a colored circle with their initials.
- 🌐📱 More private leaderboard. It shows “John D.” instead of full names and explains how points work.
- 📱 iPhone app works for the first time ⭐, with its own icon, name and splash screen. A start-up crash for staff accounts on phones was fixed.
- 📱 Whole student phone app redesigned ⭐, with a 5-tab bottom bar and a new 5-slide welcome tour where the language is chosen first.
- 📱 Phone settings fixed. Edit Profile and Change Password were blank, and Delete Account now works.
- 🌐📱 New “Apply a voucher” window with clear error messages.
- 🌐📱 Fixes: no more duplicate certificates on a double click, answer explanations display correctly, a chapter’s quiz shows even when the chapter has no lessons, and the login check on phones no longer flickers.
- 🌐 Super Admin export panel: trainings, lessons, quizzes and exams can be downloaded as files.
- ⚙️ Groundwork: uploaded files moved to cloud storage, 2.1 MB of fonts were removed to help the website load faster, and scripts were added so the team can publish the test and live websites.
Clean-up and maintenance
Clean-up work keeps the app fast, secure and easy to update. Users don’t see it directly, but it makes every later change quicker and less risky.
Overall: 21 add-ons were removed and none were added, and every step finished with no errors.
Server-side work that supports the apps
- 01/10 · The server sends the marketplace lighter data, made for shoppers, and gives admins the list of buyers’ e-mails for a training or exam.
- 03/10 · Standalone exams count their views, and a certificate is issued only once. Asking again returns the same certificate with a friendly message in three languages.
- 04/10 · Classroom member lists share only names and photos with classmates, students see only their own classrooms, and the server provides the member counts.
- 07/10 · Certificate links use the platform’s own web address and show a picture of the certificate when shared. Certificate lists include the course badge, and the certificate page is tidier on small screens and prints on A4 landscape.
- 09/10 · The team got a protected internal page that lists stored files and what uses them, so unused files can be found. A server clean-up plan was also written.
- 24/10 · The admin dashboard’s PDF report is now made by the same built-in tool as the invoices, so the servers no longer need a separate program installed for it.
- 01/11 · Files uploaded by staff to the cloud storage (lesson images and PDFs, classroom content, exam question images, chat images, chat backups, instructor logos) now go into one folder per training, classroom, exam or chatroom, named by the server itself. Files are easy to find in the storage, and nobody can put a file in another course’s folder. Files uploaded before stay where they are and keep working.
How the work is checked
- Automatic checks: 817 automatic tests run on the app. Each change also passes the code checker with no errors.
- Screen checks: new screens are drawn automatically at real laptop and phone sizes (from 11” to 16” laptops, small and large phones), in English, French and Arabic, and in light and dark mode.
- Hands-on checks: each release is also tried on the test site and on Android and iPhone before it goes live. For some of the most recent changes, this check is still in progress.
In testing: coming next
🧪 The two features below are built into the app and are being tested on the test site before they reach everyone.AI training assistant
Students get an assistant inside each training. It answers their questions from that
training’s own material.
Classroom group chat
Each classroom gets its own chat room for the instructor and their students.
✨ AI training assistant (🌐 Web and 📱 Mobile)
What it is. A chat panel in the course player, next to the lesson on the web and one tap away on phones. A student can ask anything about the training they are following, such as “What is the difference between these two ideas?”, “Summarise this chapter” or “Where is this explained?” How it helps.- Answers come from the course itself. The team uploads each training’s material to the assistant. The assistant answers only from that material and shows which part of the course each answer comes from. When the answer is not in the course, it says so instead of guessing.
- Only for students who own the training. The assistant opens only for students who bought the training or were given access by an admin. Each training’s material stays separate from the others.
- Help at any hour. Students get an answer straight away without waiting for the instructor. That means fewer repeated questions for instructors and fewer students stuck on a hard lesson.
- On or off per training. The assistant can be turned off for a training that should not have one.
- Languages. It answers in French and English. In Arabic, the app shows a note that answers come in French or English.
1
The team feeds the assistant
For each training, the team picks the training from a list in the assistant’s admin space and
uploads the course material.
2
The student opens the training
The app checks with our server that the student owns this training. The assistant then gets a
short-lived pass for that training only.
3
The student asks a question
The assistant searches that training’s material, writes an answer and lists the parts of the
course it used.
- how good the answers are on real trainings;
- that only owners can use it;
- the messages a student sees when the assistant is not ready yet for a training;
- a fair limit on questions per minute;
- how it looks on the web and on phones.
- answers that appear word by word as they are written;
- follow-up questions that remember the conversation;
- a list of the student’s past conversations.
💬 Classroom group chat (🌐 Web and 📱 Mobile) — built 20/10, going live after a server switch
What it is. Every classroom gets its own group chat room, shared by the classroom’s instructor, its students and the company’s admins. Students find it first in My Content → Classrooms, in a new Chatrooms tab (their classrooms are in the second tab), and on each classroom page. Admins and instructors get a new Chatrooms page in their menu that lists the chat rooms with their number of students and messages, and opens any conversation. A chat room is set up when the classroom is created (a new step between the classroom’s details and its content). How it helps.- One place for the class to talk. Students ask questions and help each other, and the instructor posts reminders, links and announcements. Links can be clicked, and pictures can be shared (up to 20 MB each).
- Private to the classroom. Only the instructor, the students of that classroom and the admins can read it.
- Kept under control. The instructor or an admin can let only staff write for a while (for announcements), and can clear the whole history after a warning. Admins can also save a copy of a whole conversation to the cloud as a spreadsheet file.
- Students don’t miss anything. When the instructor writes, students get a notification in the app.
Planned next
- Faster loading. Each role will download only its own screens (students stop downloading staff screens). Browsers will keep the app’s files between visits, and images and icons will be smaller.
- Exam Attempts tab. The server will calculate the scores, so they show correctly after a page refresh and the tab opens faster.
- Lighter server. The homepage pictures will be compressed (about 3 MB less for every visitor), and a database clean-up will remove old technical records.
- Online payment with Flouci. This is being added next to the current payment option. The “Pay with Flouci” button is already in the cart, marked “coming soon”.
